2. Set up your a wallet
If you already have a NEAR wallet, you can skip to step 3
You will see the following:
- Your token balance
- Your wallet
- Your NFT
- Your energy
- The marketplace
You will need to go to your wallet and then connect to NEAR.
From inside the application you will Create Account, Get Started. It will bring you to https://wallet.testnet.near.org/. Then choose your security method. It is strongly recommended to use a Secure Passphrase or Ledger because email accounts often get hacked.
Next, get out a piece of paper and write down your Secure Passphrase (seed phrase). DO NOT copy this and put it on your computer. DO NOT show these words to anyone.
You will then be prompted to enter a random word to verify your account.
Then click on the series of numbers and letters at the top to get your account details.
You will find your wallet address (Account) here. This is how you receive tokens.
3. Connect your wallet.
Go to the INITE app. You will be prompted to connect with your NEAR wallet. Click on “Proceed” and it will pull up your NEAR wallet in your mobile browser. Click on “Next” and then “Connect”
4. Buy a device
You will see an empty screen when you first log into the app. In order to begin, you need to get yourself a device. Go to the shopping tab on the bottom right of the home screen.
Click on the device that suits you best. Different devices serve different game mods.

When you are ready, click on the Buy button at the bottom.
It will ask you to confirm your purchase. This will then bring you to your browser to confirm a transaction in your NEAR wallet. Once you click on Approve, it will bring you back to the INITE wallet where you will see your new device. Congratulations!
If you have multiple devices, you will be able to scroll through them by clicking the arrows on the left or right of it. If you have more devices, you will be able to gain more energy, which will allow you to earn more.
Also, if you click on the second button from the left at the bottom of the screen, you will be able to see all of your devices. Then you can click on individual ones to see their attributes, levels, mints, and durability.
5. Generate ideas!
First you will have to wait for an energy refill. This replenishes by 50% every 12 hours at 0:00 and 12:00 in your timezone. Every 2 energy gives you 10 minutes of meditation time. See this page for details about how energy caps are calculated.
You can see at the bottom of the home screen how long it will be until that energy refill comes.
If you have full energy, make sure that you meditate before the next refill or else you will miss out on the next replenish.
Once you have at least 1 energy, you can begin meditating. Press the Meditate button.
First you will choose how much energy you wish to use. 1 energy = 5 minutes of meditating.
It is important to keep your phone still during this time period. If you move it or change apps, the timer will restart.
Once the timer has finished, you will have an opportunity to write down ideas. Send the ideas and you will earn IDEA tokens.
6. Repairing and upgrading your device
Every time you meditate, your device will lose some of its durability.
You want to make sure that this stays above 50/100 or else your earnings will drop to 90%. If it goes below 10/100, your earnings will drop to 10%.
You can do a repair by tapping on your device in the home screen and then Repair at the bottom.
Choose how much you wish to repair it, check the cost in IDEA, and then confirm.
You can also upgrade your device to earn more INITE. Tap on Upgrade in the device screen to preview the cost of levelling up in IDEA and time required.
Once you confirm, you will see a timer. You can tap on the Boost button and pay additional IDEA to speed this up, or just wait.
You can still meditate while levelling up.
After you level up, you will get points to distribute to attributes of your choosing.
7. Modules
Every time you meditate, boxes are randomly dropped with modules inside. These modules can be placed into sockets of your device to improve various attributes according to these parameters.
In order to place a module, you will need to unlock a Goods Slot on your device by upgrading it. At each of the following, you unlock one more Goods Slot:
- Levels 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30
You can upgrade your modules by burning IDEA tokens and combining 3 modules of the same type to create a higher level module with more powerful features.

How much can you earn? (The story of one of the #initers)
If the initial price of IDEA is approximately $1 and the devices $200, the following calculations are based off this assumption. In reality, the market will decide the actual price.
Assuming you earn approximately 1.6 IDEA every time you use 1 energy at level 0, the calculations give a projection of potential earnings.
Earnings will increase as you upgrade your device. Each time you level up, you will want to add points to your Memory and Battery attributes so that the device can earn more INITE tokens after each mediation and the durability does not drop as fast.
